Mrs. Grace Weaver Daniels age 80 of
Bald view Rd. Young Harris passed away on Saturday July 5,2008 at her
home following an extended illness. Mrs. Daniels was born on Oct.2,1927
in Union County, the daughter of the late O. Wayne Weaver and the late
Edna Jarrett Weaver. She graduated at Union County High School. She was
preceded in death by a daughter Cricket Spiva, a son Timothy Spiva, her
former husband, Walt Spiva, three brothers, Eugene, Paul and Dick
Weaver. Mrs. Daniels was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Daniels are her loving
husband of thirty five years, Tommy Daniels of Young Harris, two
daughters and son in laws, Jenny and Lee Rainwater of Roswell, GA.,
Kristie and Joe Payne of Cumming, GA., two step daughters, Janie and
Jack Knight of Jasper, GA., Debbie and Donald Keys of Young Harris, two
sisters and one brother in law, Bobbie and J. W. Payne of Blairsville,
Janice Morgan of Forest Park, GA., one brother and sister in law, Corky
and Carol Weaver of Enon, OH., eight grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Amanda
Payne, Chasity Casey, Adam Payne, Julie Harrison, Michael and Mathew
Rainwater and Stacy Harrison, eight great grandchildren,many other
relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on
Monday July 7,2008 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
Lester Sutton and Rev. Jimmy Hogsed officiating. The following gentleman
will serve as pallbearers, Chris Rogers, Jeremy Casey, Adam Payne,
Mathew Rainwater, Gene Spiva and Jody Payne. Interment will follow in
the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends
at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-9pm.

Mrs. Tabatha Raye Brown age 24 of
Roberts Rd. Blairsville passed away on Sunday July 6,2008 at her home
following a sudden illness. Mrs. Brown was born on Sept.27,1983 in Ft.
Pierce, FL., the daughter of Ricky Boehnlein and Becky Mounts Boehnlein.
Mrs. Brown had lived most of her life in Union County and had attended
the Union County School System. She was a loving wife and mother. She
loved fishing, being with her family and going to church. She was
preceded in death by a grandfather, Howard Mounts, two great
grandmothers, Juanita Chisholm and Sadie Mounts. Mrs. Brown attended
Owltown Church of God.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are her loving and devoted husband, Justin Brown of
Blairsville, four children, Michael Blake Boehnlein, Adam Jason Lynn,
Chad Cole Duane Lynn and Haley Emma-Grace Brown, all of Blairsville,
grandparents, Billy and Rosemary Mounts of Blairsville, mother and step
father, Becky and David Johnson of Austin, TX., father,Ricky Boehnlein
of Cleveland, OH., sister, Ashley Conte of Austin, TX., father and
mother in law, Kenneth and Karen Brendle of Blairsville, many other
relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on
Friday July 11,2008 at 11:00am from the Owltown Church of God with the
Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. The following gentleman will serve as
pallbearers, Adam Goodner, Charles Sadler, Billy H. Mounts, Billy Ray
Mounts, Cody and Clinton Brendle. Interment will follow in the Owltown
Church of God Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral
home on Thursday evening from 6-9pm.

Richard (Dick) WerchMr.Richard (Dick)Werch Passed away
at age 74, at his home on July 9, 2008. The Wisconsin native was the
youngest of 15 children. He and his wife, Irene, retired 11 years ago,
from Marietta, GA., to their home on Lake Nottely, in Blairsville, GA.
Mr. Werch served his country in the U.S. Navy from
1950-1954. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville,
with a major in engineering. He worked for FM Global for 30 years as a
fire protection engineer. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting,
fishing, gardening, woodworking and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Irene (Alf) Werch;
daughter, Kay Graap; son-in-law, Ken Graap; and granddaughter, Kyra; He
is survived by four sisters and a brother, all reside in Wisconsin:
Helen Reilly of Berlin; Lois Weisman of West Bend; Liz Martin of
Poysippi; and Art Werch of Ripon. Richard and his wife are members of
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. He leaves behind many, many dear
friends. A funeral will be held at the church on Friday, July 18, 2008
at 10:30 a.m. The address of the church is 823 Forge Mill Road,
Morganton, GA 30560.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation
be made in memory of "Dick" Werch at: Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70
Caring Way, Jasper, GA 30143 or Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran
Church.Mr. Werch’s ashes will be interred at the church’s Memorial
Garden.

Mrs. Helen Todd Smith age 83 of
Trackrock Gap Rd. Blairsville passed away on Monday July 14,2008 in the
St. Josephs Hospital in Atlanta following a brief illness. Mrs. Smith
was born on April 28,1925 in Charlotte, NC., the daughter of the late
Robert Franklin Todd and the late Banner Bright Thompson Todd. Helen was
the former owner of Helens Sports Wear. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Smith was a member of Zebulon
Baptist Church Surviving Mrs.
Smith are her loving husband of sixty three years, Zeb Smith of
Blairsville, three sons and one daughter in law, Gary and Sandy Smith of
Tallahassee, FL., Zeb C. Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Ricky
Smith of Blairsville, one sister and brother in law, Sue and Billy
Tilley of Mint Hill, NC., one brother, Larry Todd of Rockhill, SC.,
seven grandchildren, Tammy, Ben, Taylor, Ashley, Kara, Sarah, Jeffery
and Spencer, four great grandchildren, Kalie, Cooper, Reece and Hunter,
many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on
Thursday July 17,2008 at 11:00am from the Mountain View funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating. The family will meet
with friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11:00am.Interment
and graveside services will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church
Cemetery.
